Kolibri

Kolibrat (anglisht: Hummingbirds janë një grup shpendësh - zogjë nga Amerika të cilët përbëjnë familjen Trochilidae. Ata janë në mesin e shpendëve më të vegjël në botë. Shumica e llojeve të tyre kanë madhësi e cila sillet mes 7.5–13 centimetres (3.0–5.1 in) në gjatësi. Në të vërtetë, shpendi më i vogël ekzistues është një specie zogjsh po nga ky grup i cili njihet me emrin Kolibri bletë (Bee hummingbird), me gjatësi prej rreth 5 centimetres (2.0 in) dhe që peshon më pak se 2.0 grams (0.07 oz). Më parë kolibrat konsideroheshin gjini e veçantë, por hulumtimet e fundit kanë treguar se megjithatë ata janë një familje në vete. Aktualisht familja e kolibrave ka 100 gjini dhe rreth 330 - 340 lloje - specie.^[1][2][3][4] Kolibrat ushqehen me pjalmin e luleve ose me insekte te vegjel.
