Varna (Sinhala: වර්ණ), is a 2024 Sri Lankan Sinhalese drama film directed by Ajith Dharmasuriya and produced by Indra Pathiraja.[1][2] It stars Lakshman Mendis and Vishwanath Kodikara in the lead roles with Jayani Senanayake, Chamathka Lakmini, Niroshan Buddhika and Menushi Bandara made supportive roles.[3]
The film received positive reviews from critics.[3][4]

Production
The film marks the maiden cinema direction by Ajith Dharmasuriya and maiden cinema production by Indra Pathiraja. Cinematography done by award-winning cinematographer Ruwan Costa, where Binu Costa handled editing and color grading. Neil Ravindra is the art director, Rukman Thilakaratne is the makeup artist and Sharaka Shyamal handled lighting. Renowned musician Samantha Perera is the music direction, where Dr. Nipuni Tharaka Kaluarachchi and Dr. Nirupadhi Thisakya Perera made background vocals.[6]
Dharmasuriya also made the script and lyrics of the film. Assistant production done by director himself with Dr. Nipuni Tharaka Kaluarachchi. Harindra Perera is the assistant director and Diran Jayasinghe handled sound management.[7]
