WebFX

WebFX is an American digital marketing agency headquartered in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.[1]

History

WebFX was founded in 1995 as WebpageFX by William Craig and Karie Shearer and was incorporated in 2006.[2][3] In 2014, it opened an office in Harrisburg's Moffit Mansion.[4][5] The company operated as WebpageFX for two decades before renaming as WebFX in 2018 to reflect its expansion into full-service digital marketing.[6]

In 2019, WebFX announced an expansion of its Harrisburg campus, supported by tax credits and grants from the Pennsylvania’s Department of Community and Economic Development.[7][8]

In 2021, the private-equity firm Trilantic North America made an investment in WebFX to support its growth in services and technology.[9][10] A year later, in October 2022, WebFX acquired Nutshell, a Michigan-based customer relationship management (CRM) and email marketing platform.[11][12]

In 2023, WebFX acquired SEO.com.[13]

Operations

WebFX provides digital marketing services.[14] It is based in Harrisburg and operates additional offices in Pennsylvania, Florida, and Michigan.[4]

Platform

WebFX has developed a proprietary technology platform, RevenueCloudFX. It integrates data analytics, marketing automation, and artificial intelligence to provide users with services such as real-time return-on-investment (ROI) tracking and campaign optimization.[15]

Recognition

WebFX has been named one of the Best Places to Work in Pennsylvania multiple times.[16][4] Other awards include the Central Penn Business Journals Business of the Year (2012) and the Technology Company of the Year at the Pennsylvania TechQuest Awards (2013).[7]

In 2020, WebFX received the Horizon Interactive Best Agency of the Year award. Founder William Craig received the Harrisburg Chamber's "Entrepreneur of the Year" award in 2010 and the Shippensburg University Outstanding Young Alumnus Award in 2014.[2][17]
