Les Cetiosauridae sont une ancienne famille fossile de dinosaures sauropodes ayant vécu au Jurassique et Crétacé inférieur.
Le genre type Cetiosaurus a été créé par Sir Richard Owen en 1841[1]. En 1888, Richard Lydekker crée la famille des Cetiosauridae pour y placer le seul genre Cetiosaurus[2]. Cette famille est abandonnée depuis le début du XXIe siècle car paraphylétique[3],[4],[5].

Classification
Le cladogramme réalisé par Nair & Salisbury en 2012 montre les relations entre les Gravisauria. À la différence de celui de R. Allain et al. (2008), il ne conserve pas la famille des Vulcanodontidae[6] :
