Lesley Choyce est un écrivain et un surfeur canado-américain^[1]^,^[2]. Il est né au New Jersey le 21 juin 1951. Il a immigré au Canada et est devenu citoyen canadien en 1978^[3]^,^[4]. Il a étudié à l'université Rutgers et au Université d'État de Montclair^[5]^,^[6]. Il a publié plus de 100 livres^[7], notamment sur The Republic of Nothing (1994)^[8] et Nova Scotia: Shaped by the Sea (2021)^[9]. Choyce enseigne à l'Université Dalhousie^[7].
