Les Synergistota (anc. Synergistetes) sont un phylum du règne des Thermotogati, au sein du domaine Bacteria, monotypique jusqu'à l'ordre des Synergistales. Son nom provient de Synergistes qui est le genre type de ce phylum.

Selon la LPSN (24 novembre 2025)^[1] ce phylum ne contient qu'une seule classe, les Synergistia Jumas-Bilak et al. 2009.

Le nom correct complet (avec auteur) de ce taxon est Synergistota Jumas-Bilak et al. 2021^[2]. Le genre type est Synergistes Allison et al. 1993^[2].

L'étymologie du nom de ce phylum se décompose ainsi : Syn.er.gis.to’ta. N.L. masc. n. Synergistes, genre type du phylum; L. neut. pl. n. suff. -ota, suffixe définissant un phylum; N.L. neut. pl. n. Synergistota, le phylum de Synergistes^[2].
