This Is the Sea est le troisième album du groupe britannique de rock The Waterboys. Il est sorti en 1985 sur le label Ensign Records (en) au Royaume-Uni.
Il s'agit du deuxième et dernier album du groupe auquel participe Karl Wallinger. Il inclut notamment la chanson la plus connue des Waterboys, The Whole of the Moon.
