Die Super League Darts 2024 (offiziell: HYLO PDC Europe Super League 2024) war ein Qualifikationsturnier, das von der PDC Europe zum zwölften Mal veranstaltet wurde. Es diente als Möglichkeit, sich als Sieger des Turniers für die PDC World Darts Championship 2025 zu qualifizieren. Das Turnier wurde dabei vom 5. bis zum 8. November 2024 in der Halle39 in Hildesheim ausgetragen. Erstmals in der Geschichte des Turniers startete mit dem Österreicher Patrick Tringler ein Spieler, der nicht aus Deutschland kommt. Im Finale bezwang Kai Gotthardt mit 8:7 Legs Paul Krohne und qualifizierte sich damit für die Weltmeisterschaft.

Teilnehmer

Die Anzahl der Teilnehmer wurde in diesem Jahr von 24 auf insgesamt 30 erhöht. Die Qualifikationskriterien wurden im Vergleich zum Vorjahr verändert. So waren alle Spieler, welche bei der Super League Darts 2023 im Achtelfinale standen, auch für die nächste Ausgabe qualifiziert. Des Weiteren gab es die Möglichkeit, sich über die neu geschaffene PDC Europe Next Gen 2024 zu qualifizieren. Dazu zählten die zehn besten noch nicht qualifizierten Spieler der Next Gen Order of Merit sowie die vier besten noch nicht qualifizierten Spieler der Next Gen Youth Order of Merit, einer gesonderten Rangliste für alle Spieler unter 24 Jahren. Letztlich waren die folgenden Spieler für die Super League 2024 qualifiziert:[1]

Da Manfred Bilderl, Achtelfinalist aus dem Vorjahr, seine Teilnahme abgesagt hat, qualifizierte sich ein weiterer Spieler über die Next Gen Order of Merit. Außerdem qualifizierte sich Niko Springer über die Development Tour für die WM und Michael Unterbuchner sagte seine Teilnahme an der Super League ab. Dafür rückten weitere Spieler über die Next Gen Order of Merit nach.

Modus

Da erstmals 30 Teilnehmer an der Super League Darts teilnahmen, wurde der Modus erneut leicht angepasst. Zunächst traten die 30 Spieler in fünf Sechsergruppen in einer Hin- und Rückrunde gegeneinander an. Die jeweils drei besten Spieler einer Gruppe und der beste Gruppenvierte qualifizierten sich schließlich für die K.-o.-Phase.

Jede Runde wurde in Legs gespielt, wobei die Anzahl der zu gewinnenden Legs pro Runde anstieg. Die Spiele der Gruppenphase wurden im Modus Best of 11 Legs ausgetragen, genauso wie das Achtel- und Viertelfinale. Im Halbfinale erhöhte sich der Modus auf Best of 13 Legs. Das Finale wurde schließlich im Modus Best of 15 Legs gespielt.[2]

Die Vorrunde wurde am 5. und 6. November 2024 ausgetragen.

Übertragung

Auch in diesem Jahr wurde das Turnier wieder live auf Sport1 übertragen und von Philip Brzezinski und Ricardo Pietreczko kommentiert.[3]

Trivia

Mit Dragutin Horvat war der einzige Spieler, der bei bisher jeder Austragung teilgenommen hatte, erneut im Teilnehmerfeld zu finden.

Lukas Wenig erzielte mit 105,13 im Vorrundenspiel gegen Arno Merk als einziger Spieler im Turnier einen Average von über 100 Punkten.
