Caratteristiche tecniche
Kornet è noto per aver ideato un particolare metodo per contestare i tiri avversari da lui definito“The Eclipse” (L'eclissi). La particolarità della tecnica, nota anche come “Kornet Contest”, sta nel saltare con entrambe le mani alzate sopra la propria testa, ciò indipendentemente dalla distanza alla quale si trova il tiratore avversario. L'obiettivo è quello di ostacolare la vista del giocatore senza rischio di commettere un fallo da contatto[1]. Al 6 dicembre 2022, i tiratori avversari avevano realizzato 5 tiri su 18 tentativi contro l'Eclipse di Kornet. Sebbene si tratti di un campione ridotto, questo tasso di conversione del 28% era ben al di sotto della media della lega del 38% sui tentativi di tiro da 3 punti. L'Eclipse è stato utilizzato da altri giocatori, tra cui Marcus Smart e Jalen Duren.[2]
