Me & U è un singolo della cantante nigeriana Tems, pubblicato il 5 ottobre 2023 come primo estratto dall'album in studio di debutto Born in the Wild.[7][8]
Antefatti e descrizione
Successivamente al successo del singolo Free Mind, presente nell'EP For Broken Ears del 2022, Tems ha ottenuto consenso internazionale grazie alle collaborazioni con Future in Wait for U, Beyoncé in Move e come autrice del brano Lift Me Up interpretato da Rihanna.[9][10]
Registrata originariamente nel 2021 dopo la collaborazione Essence con Wizkid, Me & U riprende il brano inedito di Tems Only Me.[11] In un comunicato stampa, Tems ha parlato del significato della canzone, dicendo: «Me & U parla della scoperta del vero me stesso, della costruzione di un rapporto autentico con Dio e dell'acquisizione di una vera percezione di sé».[12][13]
Video musicale
Il video musicale del brano è stato pubblicato il 5 ottobre 2023 sul canale YouTube della cantante.[14] Il videoclip è stato diretto dalla stessa artista e registrato a Malta.[15]
