David F. Ford

David Frank Ford (ur. 23 stycznia 1948 w Dublinie)[1] – teolog anglikański.

Życiorys

Studiował literaturę klasyczną (grecką i łacińską) w Trinity College, a następnie teologię w Cambridge, Yale i Tybindze[2]. W latach 1976–1991 wykładał na Uniwersytecie w Birmingham[3]. W 1991 został mianowany profesorem teologii (ang. Regius Professor of Divinity) na Uniwersytecie w Cambridge.

Publikacje

Spośród licznych publikacji Forda[1] jedną z bardziej znanych jest Theology: A Very Short Introduction.

Jego książka The Modern Theologians: An Introduction to Christian Theology since 1918 jest popularnym angielskojęzycznym podręcznikiem teologii[2]. Miała cztery wydania (1989[15], 1997[16], 2005[17], 2024[18]).
