Metacyclops cushae |
Metacyclops cushae – gatunek słodkowodnego widłonoga z rodziny Cyclopidae[2]. Gatunek ten opisała w 1991 roku amerykańska biolożka Janet W. Reid z Narodowego Muzeum Historii Naturalnej w Waszyngtonie (część Smithsonian Institution). Miejsce typowe to tymczasowo wypełnione wodą zagłębienia w Wielkim Nowym Orleanie (stan Luizjana, południowe USA). Epitet gatunkowy upamiętnia Mary Cush – asystentkę techniczną dr. Geralda G. Martena, który zebrał okazy typowe[3].
