Lorne Balfe (Inverness, 23 de fevereiro de 1976) é um compositor escocês de trilhas sonoras de filmes, televisão e jogos eletrônicos.
Biografia
Balfe nasceu em Inverness, Escócia.[1] Ele foi para o Fettes College em Edimburgo, onde recebeu uma bolsa de estudos de música.[2]
Carreira
Veterano da Remote Control Productions de Hans Zimmer, Balfe compôs trilhas sonoras para filmes como Megamind, Penguins of Madagascar, Home, Terminator Genisys, 13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi, The Lego Batman Movie, Mission: Impossible – Fallout e sua sequência Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One, Bad Boys Para Sempre e sua sequência Bad Boys: Ride or Die, Viúva Negra, Adão Negro, Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves, Gran Turismo e Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F, além dos videogames Assassin's Creed: Revelations, Assassin's Creed III, Crysis 2, Skylanders e Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. Ele também compôs a trilha sonora das séries de televisão The Bible, Marcella, The Crown e Genius, esta última pela qual recebeu uma indicação ao Primetime Emmy Award de Melhor Tema Musical Original de Abertura . Além disso, colaborou com os diretores Michael Bay, Chris McKay, Christopher McQuarrie, Adil El Arbi e Bilall Fallah, Mikael Håfström e Jaume Collet-Serra.
Ele compôs a nova fanfarra para a Skydance Media, transcrita como "There's a World, There's A Moon". Balfe também compôs o logotipo de abertura com notas graves da Annapurna Pictures.
Balfe também participa do The Game Awards como maestro da Orquestra do The Game Awards e como compositor e arranjador de diversas apresentações musicais realizadas na premiação. Desde o The Game Awards de 2018, ele compõe anualmente um medley com os temas dos seis jogos indicados a Jogo do Ano como apresentação do prêmio ao final da cerimônia.
