Baruch Kimmerling (1939-2007) fue un sociólogo, politólogo y profesor israelí.
Biografía
Nacido el 16 de octubre de 1939 en la ciudad rumana de Turda,[1] emigró a Israel tras encontrar su familia su casa destruida después del fin de la Segunda Guerra Mundial[2] Publicó en solitario obras como Zionism and the Economy (1983),[3] The Invention and Decline of Israeliness; State, Society, and the Military (2001)[4] y Clash of Identities: Explorations in Israeli and Palestinian Societies (2008),[2] además de ser autor junto con Joel S. Migdal de Palestinians: The Making of a People (1993).[5][6][7] También fue editor de The Israeli State and Society: Boundaries and Frontiers (1989).[8] Kimmerling, que falleció el 20 de mayo de 2007,[1] enfermo de cáncer,[9] padeció a lo largo de su vida parálisis cerebral.[9][1]
