Amblyodipsas (пурпурово-блискуча змія) — рід отруйних змій родини земляних гадюк (Atractaspididae). Представники цього роду мешкають в Африці на південь від Сахари.

Етимологія
Наукова назва роду Amblyodipsas походить від сполучення слів дав.-гр. αμβλυς — невиразний, тьмяний, αμβλυνω — тупий і διψας — отруйна змія[1].
