Brachydiastematherium transylvanicum є найзахіднішим видом бронтотерії, перші скам'янілості якого були знайдені в Трансільванії, Румунія. Порівняно з іншими скам'янілостями бронтотерій, припускають, що B. transylvanicum мала подовжену голову, не на відміну від Dolichorhinus, і сягала приблизно 2 метрів у холці (анатомічно кажучи, найвища частина спини біля основи шиї)^[1]^[2].
