Hominidët (Hominidae Gray, 1825) apo majmunet njerez (Hominidae, me heret Pongidae) – ne kufizim me Gibbonet (Kleine Menschenaffen), të njohur gjithashtu si majmunë të mëdhenj [2], janë një familje primatësh që datojnë që nga Mioceni i poshtëm. Kjo familje përfshin orangutanë, gorilla, shimpanze, njerëz dhe disa grupe fosile, përfshirë australopitekinat.
Historia
Deri në fillimin e viteve 1960, vetëm njerëzit dhe gjinitë e zhdukura që besohet se i përkisnin linjës evolucionare të njeriut ishin klasifikuar si hominide. Termi është përdorur ndonjëherë ndonjëherë në gjuhë të përbashkët me atë kuptim.
