Deutsch Nepal è un progetto di musica post-industriale e dark ambient creato nel 1991 dal musicista svedese Peter Andersson[1][2].
È il progetto musicale più noto di Andersson, anche se nella sua carriera ha pubblicato album anche con i nomi di Frozen Faces e Lina Baby Doll. Come Bocksholm, Andersson pubblica insieme al musicista omonimo Peter Andersson, cresciuto a Boxholm, nel sud della Svezia[3].
Storia
Andersson era un membro della band industriale svedese Njurmännen. Nel 1991 ha pubblicato il suo album di debutto Deflagration of Hell con lo pseudonimo di Deutsch Nepal. Il nome del progetto risale all'omonima traccia dell'album del 1972 Wolf City della band Krautrock Amon Düül II.
Seguirono numerose pubblicazioni su etichette discografiche come Staalplaat, Cold Meat Industry e Old Europa Cafe. Andersson gestisce l'etichetta metal Entartete Musikk.
Insieme a In Slaughter Natives e Raison d'être, Piero Scaruffi annovera i Deutsch Nepal tra la «generazione di sani costruttivisti dei primi anni '90»[4].
