Kariera

W wieku 18 lat przeprowadził się do Los Angeles[1]. Ukończył tam szkołę filmową Columbia College Hollywood[2]. Początkowo został reżyserem teledysków i reklam[3]. Dopiero producent Joel Silver zaproponował mu w 2005 roku wyreżyserowanie filmu Dom woskowych ciał[1]. W 2009 roku wyreżyserował horror Sierota[4]. W 2010 roku założył studio filmowe Ombra Films w Los Angeles[5]. W 2014 roku wyreżyserował film Non-Stop[6]. W 2015 roku był reżyserem filmu Nocny pościg[7]. W 2016 roku wyreżyserował film 183 metry strachu[8]. Film został uznany przez magazyn Time za jeden z 50 niedocenianych filmów wykonanych w XXI wieku[9]. W 2022 roku wyreżyserował film Black Adam[10]. W 2023 roku był reżyserem filmu Kontrola bezpieczeństwa[11]. W 2025 roku stworzył horror Kobieta w ogrodzie[12].

Życie prywatne

W 2017 roku zakupił dom w dzielnicy Hollywood Hills West w Los Angeles[13].
