Coccosteina é uma infraordem extinta de placodermos, peixes blindados mais diversificados durante o Devoniano.[1] No entanto, o termo não é mais usado, pois os métodos cladísticos modernos produziram árvores filogenéticas alternativas de Brachythoraci com novas subdivisões.[2][3][4]
