Synthemistidae – rodzina ważek różnoskrzydłych (Anisoptera). Obejmuje około 50 gatunków.
Systematyka
Rodzajem typowym rodziny jest Synthemis.
W starym ujęciu systematycznym do Synthemistidae zaliczano nieco ponad 40 gatunków występujących w krainie australijskiej. Były one zgrupowane w rodzajach[5]:
W 2013 roku, na podstawie badań filogenetycznych, Dijkstra et al. wydzielili z rodziny szklarkowatych (Corduliidae) szereg rodzajów (głównie tych zaliczanych do podrodziny Gomphomacromiinae), uznając je za incertae sedis w obrębie nadrodziny Libelluloidea[1][6]. Rodzaje te tymczasowo zaliczono do rodziny Synthemistidae, jako najbliżej z nią spokrewnione, ale systematyka w obrębie grupy wymagała dalszych badań[7][8][9]. W takim ujęciu systematycznym do Synthemistidae zaliczano około 150 gatunków zgrupowanych w następujących rodzajach[10]:
- Apocordulia
- Archaeophya
- Archaeosynthemis
- Austrocordulia
- Austrophya
- Austrosynthemis
- Choristhemis
- Cordulephya
- Eusynthemis
- Gomphomacromia
- Hesperocordulia
- Idionyx
- Idomacromia
- Lathrocordulia
- Lauromacromia
- Macromidia
- Micromidia
- Neocordulia
- Neophya
- Nesocordulia
- Oxygastra
- Palaeosynthemis
- Parasynthemis
- Pseudocordulia
- Syncordulia
- Synthemiopsis
- Synthemis
- Tonyosynthemis
W 2025 roku Goodman i inni, na podstawie kompleksowych badań molekularnych zestawionych z oceną cech morfologicznych, dokonali gruntownej rewizji rodzin Synthemistidae i Corduliidae, wydzielając trzy nowe rodziny oraz przywracając bądź nadając status rodziny sześciu wyróżnianym wcześniej taksonom. Autorzy zaliczyli do zrewidowanej rodziny Synthemistidae 11 rodzajów obejmujących 51 gatunków[3]. To ujęcie systematyczne wdrożyła World Odonata List[8]. Do Synthemistidae należą następujące rodzaje[8]:
- Archaeosynthemis Carle, 1995
- Austrosynthemis Carle, 1995
- Calesynthemis Carle, 1995
- Choristhemis Tillyard, 1910
- Eusynthemis Förster, 1903
- Neocaledosynthemis Fleck, 2024
- Palaeosynthemis Förster, 1903
- Parasynthemis Carle, 1995
- Synthemiopsis Tillyard, 1917
- Synthemis Selys, 1870
- Tonyosynthemis Theischinger, 1998
